PROJECT TITLE:

Blood sugar and High Energy foods

Aim:

The purpose of this project is to find out if orange juice affects the blood sugar levels in a person. The hypothesis of that the blood sugar will rise to its highest level in a half hours time and back to normal in one full hour. Thre prcedure consisted of giving four volunteers a glass of orange juice after their blood sugar was tested. They were tested in a half hours and again in an hour. Their times were recorded. The materials were a glucometer, test strips, a finger stick instrument, orange juice, and cups. The first reading should be low, the second should be high, the third should be around the first. The conclusion of this experiment is that it does take 30-45 minutes for orange juice to make blood sugar to rise to its highest point. The blood sugar level did decend in about an hours time.
