Objective
Measure how different types of exercise impact heart rate.
Materials
- Stopwatch
- Heart rate monitor or manual pulse measurement
- Notebook for recording data
- Participants
Instructions
- Measure the resting heart rate of each participant.
- Select different exercises (e.g., walking, jogging, cycling) and perform each for a set duration (e.g., 5 minutes).
- Measure the heart rate immediately after each exercise.
- Record the heart rates in your notebook, along with the exercise type and duration.
- Allow participants to rest until their heart rate returns to normal between exercises.
- Graph and analyze the impact of each exercise type on heart rate.
- Present your findings, discussing how different exercises affect cardiovascular health.
